The Face of Poverty has Changed.

United Way's commitment to helping is stronger than ever.

Many once middle class families are now struggling to get by, much less get back to where they once were.  Everyday, we see them joining the ranks of those who have been struggling with poverty for years.  In shelters.  At the food programs.  Or signing up for rent assistance. All the while dealing with dramatic increases in the cost of food, rent, and other basic necessities.

United Way's Family Fund is reaching out to help.  Not just during the cold of winter, but with programs that work year-round to provide:

  • Emergency food and shelter
  • Homelessness prevention
  • Utilities assistance
  • Financial education
  • Employment assistance/training

We aren't just helping families get back on their feet.  We're helping them stay there with programs that empower lasting family financial stability and a brighter future for their children.
