See Photos from Family Volunteer Day

On Saturday, May 2nd, a group of United Way donors volunteered along side their children to fill orders and package clothes, shoes, books, etc for children across Massachusetts living in low-income or homeless circumstances. The day was quite a success- filling about 65 orders in the warehouse that Cradles to Crayons refers to as “The Giving Factory.” The packages of essentials will be picked up by local agencies and distributed to children within the week.

The partnership between United Way and Cradles to Crayons comes naturally as we both provide support to many agencies that serve children, youth and families in our region. Cradles to Crayons provides low-income and homeless children with the basic essentials they need to be safe, warm, ready to learn, and valued - a goal shared by United Way.

Thank you to our many volunteers who showed their commitment to LIVE UNITED by helping children in our community this past weekend.
