Id'ing a disability

I am sitting at my desk this morning feeling a bit paralyzed. In August, my 5 year old son went through an evaluation of his developmental skills –as all other children entering kindergarten do. We brought him in for his evaluation totally confident –as far as his father and I were concerned, he was very advanced for his age both in his physical and emotional development. I am upset. I guess upset doesn’t quite describe the undercurrent of fury that’s clouding my day to day activities. And no, it’s not the driver who cut me off on 95 today or the tantrum my kid threw that caused me to be late for work. Should a district offer an extended day curriculum if it can only pay
its teachers at a rate of 60% of their normal pay? Or should the
district incorporate extended day into only the number of schools that
