The 2009 Leventhal/ Sidman Real Estate & Building Industry Award

The Real Estate & Building Industry Leadership Breakfast was co-founded by Kevin Phelan of Colliers Meredith & Grew, Inc. and the late Ed Sidman of The Beacon Companies in 1994.  In 2003, the Breakfast Leadership Committee established an annual Real Estate and Building Industry Leadership Award.  The very first recipient was Norman Leventhal, founder of our Alexis de Tocqueville Society.

In a memorial tribute to Ed and in honor of his father-in-law, Norman Leventhal, an icon of our industry, the annual Real Estate & Building Industry Leadership Award was renamed in 2005 to be the Norman B. Leventhal/Edwin N. Sidman Real Estate and Building Industry Leadership Award.

Since 2005, The Leventhal/ Sidman Real Estate & Building Industry Award has come to be recognized as our industry’s tribute to extraordinary colleagues who have greatly contributed to our community, both professionally and philanthropically.  As our mentors and leaders, these individuals strive to make positive and lasting change in the communities where we work and live, exemplifying the ideals of the LIVE UNITED movement.  We are pleased to introduce our 2009 honorees:
