United Way of Mass Bay to launch mentoring program in Lynn

BOSTON -- Many youth in the City of Lynn would benefit from additional adult guidance and support. In recognition of January being National Mentoring Month, United Way of Massachusetts Bay (UWMB) kicked off its outreach to recruit adults for a new pilot program that aims to increase the number and quality of connections between young people and adults.  read more »

Carolyn Casey receives first Agenda Setter Award from UWMB

BOSTON -- Carolyn Casey of Charlestown, director of Social Enterprise for Timberland was named the first recipient of United Way of Massachusetts Bay’s (UWMB) Agenda Setter Award, which recognizes a young Boston professional who will lead UWMB’s new Agenda Setters Fellowship Program for the upcoming year. Casey will be paired with Chad Gifford, chairman of Bank of America who will serve as her mentor.  read more »
