Corporate volunteers come out in droves for United Way’s Community Care Day

BOSTON - This Thursday, September 24, more than 1,300 Massachusetts employees took to the community to participate in United Way of Massachusetts Bay and Merrimack Valley's (United Way) 18th Annual Community Care Day, an effort to better the region through single-day projects while fostering long-term volunteer engagement. Patriot Kevin Faulk wins 2009 Ron Burton Community Service Award

Running back Kevin Faulk was recognized as the 2009 New England Patriots Ron Burton Community Service Award winner this evening at the team’s annual Kickoff Gala. Patriots Chairman and CEO Robert Kraft presented Faulk with the award, which is named in honor of the late Ron Burton, the first player drafted by the team and a player who was known for his widespread charitable work.  read more »
