In addition to our standard menu of volunteer opportunities, United Way also offers a number of additional opportunities for organizations, groups  and individuals to become involved in our work. These include:

Countdown to Kindergarten's Annual Citywide Celebration (September)
Be part of one of the happiest celebrations in town!  Join United Way,  the Boston Public Schools and 5-year-olds and their proud parents  to kick-off the new school year. Volunteers are always needed to make this annual event  possible.

Homeless Census (December)
Join United Way to assist the  City of Boston in a critical overnight count of people living on the streets of Boston. The census, which also counts those in shelters,  provides invaluable information on the scope of homelessness in Boston.
